Initial tasks at the AGCO factory
AGCO and Agility Robotics have signed a commercial agreement to test the Digit humanoid at AGCO’s agricultural-equipment factory in Hesston, Kansas. The pilot is planned for 2027.
Digit’s initial work is set to include sorting and stacking parts and positioning totes for storage. The companies are targeting repetitive and physically demanding operations where a mobile robot can move through spaces originally designed for people without requiring a complete production-line rebuild.
Measures for the planned pilot
The robots are to be managed through the cloud-based Agility Arc platform. The pilot is intended to test Digit during production shifts and its interaction with people and equipment at AGCO’s site.
