A new satellite group

At 03:27 Beijing time on 10 October, Long March 12 lifted off from Hainan’s commercial spaceport and placed the 27th internet-satellite group in its planned orbit. CNSA and rocket developer CASC reported the launch. “27th” identifies the group number.

After orbital insertion

China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology reported that frequencies had been coordinated and satellite-radio authorisations issued before launch. CASC also named the commercial launch-service contractor.
