Russian planning systems
On October 12, the Skolkovo Foundation and TAdviser published a study of Russia’s Integrated Business Planning market — software that links sales, supply, production, finance and budgets in one planning cycle. The authors conducted 15 in-depth interviews with customers in consumer goods, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and retail, then compared ten Russian products using a 368-criterion model and validated the assessments in developer demonstrations. In.Plan, GoodsForecast and Jume were placed in the leading group of ready-made application platforms; Knowledge Space, Optimacros and Plan IQ were named among the leading low-code platforms.
Reading the market map
The study finds that customers more often automate individual areas such as demand forecasting, inventory, MRP or S&OP. Comprehensive IBP deployments are less common. The authors therefore distinguish products by functions and platform type. Their 368-criterion comparison shows differences between packaged applications and low-code systems.
