A base for a drone
DJI introduced Dock 3 on 27 February 2025. Designed for Matrice 4D and 4TD drones, it supports installation on a vehicle. The company named infrastructure inspection and emergency services among its applications.
Preparation, flight and return
The station combines housing, charging and remote control. This arrangement suits repeated inspections that collect material along the same route to compare changes over time. Operators and maintenance teams remain involved in preparing assignments and running the system.
Moving the base
Vehicle mounting allows the station to be taken to a new site. Operation requires power, connectivity and suitable flight conditions. Images and other collected data then pass to specialists using them for infrastructure inspections.
